2012 in figures

income photoTo feed a healthy diet to the children, the staff and the elderly widows who would not eat without our help, we need approximately £1,500 / $2,300 per month. That is about 50p per person, per day. In 2012, our average unrestricted donations (ie; not donated to use only on specific projects) were just £652 per month and on many occasions, the children went to bed hungry. Please could you help us make 2013, the year when hunger at Ket Wangi becomes just a memory. You can find more information on our needs here and on how we plan to become more self-sufficient. Thank you again to all those who supported us in 2012. The total you donated in 2012 is quite an achievement and there has been much progress.

    Fantastic.

That would be really good for helping us all in promoting our initiatives.

Can room be left to enable us to customise the leaflet and advertise our own ‘ local Events ‘ please. It would also be great if we could share on here with each other how well we are getting on with them and what works well and what doesn’t.

    FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Just wondering if anyone would like to join us in a hunger lunch one day per week?

This would just entail you swopping one of your main meals for soup and a roll and the money which you would have paid for that meal can be donated towards the Ket Wangi feeding programme. Alternatively, why not hold a weekly coffee morning and invite your family and/or friends.

This could be another means of helping somone to raise the money for them to participate in the ’100 Supporters’ programme and also provide them with an opportunity to share and promote the charity with these people.

    Hi Friends of Ket Wangi

Can we find 100 supporters that would be willing to commit to donating £15 per month for the feeding programme on an annual basis until it is self sustaining?

This would provide us with the £1500 required on a monthly basis and for those of us who can take advantage of the British Gift Aid scheme we could increase this amount by an additional £375, courtesy of HMRC.

There is no limit to the number of supporters wishing to participate, neither would you be limited to donating £15 (and for a higher rate tax payer Gift Aid can be claimed at 40%) and payment could be made on either a monthly, quarterly or a one off annual amount, but wouldn’t it be great if we could reach our minimum target of 100 people before the end of this month :-) :-)

    ARE YOU UP FOR IT?

      Hi Friends

Well we have left enough time for someone to take up the no.1 spot but if there are no takers this morning then we are going to grab it. So if you’re still thinking about it and would like this prime position you need to be quick, as otherwise we plan to ‘kick the ball off the spot’ and get the game started with our donation this afternoon as January is nearly over and we would love to get 2013 off to a great start.

      Best wishes
